The presidency has not made any announcement so far about a meeting held between President Bajram Begaj and a Bangladeshi government official in New York, from where the Albanian head of state requested Bangladeshi labor for our country.

Two different media outlets in Bangladesh have reported on the meeting in New York between President Bajram Begaj and an advisor to the government there, accompanied by this photo.

"Albania very interested in hiring Bangladeshi workers for its labor market." This is the headline of the newspaper "The Daily Star".

Albania, as written in both of these articles to which the Top Channel journalist refers, has shown great interest in recruiting qualified and semi-qualified workers from Bangladesh to meet its expanding needs in the labor market.

This proposal was conveyed by Albanian President Bajram Begaj during a meeting with senior advisor Muhammad Yunus at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

"We need workers for our country, and some Albanian companies have already submitted requests to hire from Bangladesh," President Bajram Begaj was quoted as saying at the meeting.

He stressed that bilateral cooperation could be further expanded, especially in sectors such as tourism, highlighting Albania's southern coast as a promising destination for Bangladeshi travelers.

Principal Advisor, Muhammad Yunus welcomed the initiative, noting that Bangladesh, with its dynamic and young workforce, is well positioned to support Albania's economic growth.

He also called for the Albanian government to ease visa procedures, noting that Bangladeshi citizens currently have to travel to New Delhi to apply for visas.

In response, President Begaj said that Albania is considering introducing electronic visas for Bangladeshi citizens.

Asif Nazrul, who oversees the Ministry of Migrant Welfare and Overseas Employment, confirmed Bangladesh's ability to provide a wide range of workers, from doctors and nurses to factory and agricultural workers. He stressed the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding to facilitate the recruitment process.

President Begaj also announced that Albanian universities are ready to host Bangladeshi students under existing international enrollment schemes.
