The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the decree of the date of the elections in Himare municipality by President Bajram Begaj.
The democratic deputy states that the President has openly violated the Constitution by decreeing elections without an enforceable decision yet regarding the invalidity of the mandate of the elected mayor of Himara.
"What a shame for the President of the Republic who openly violates the Constitution and the law by decreeing elections without an enforceable decision yet for the invalidity of the mandate of the elected mayor of Himara", writes Bardhi.
August 4 was set as the date for the elections in the Himare municipality, after the CEC removed the mandate from the elected mayor, Fredi Beleri.
