Kujtim Cakrani , Ilir Meta 's lawyer , in a direct connection with the " Breaking " studio by Xhoi Malësia , on Top News, shared how the former President is coping with his time in prison, almost a year after his arrest.

Meta's lawyer has stated that the book that the former president will publish will shake up Albanian politics.

"He is also writing a book about his engagements over the last 35 years. It will be a book that will reveal to Albanians what has happened behind the scenes in Albanian politics and will shock them. Meta is putting his memories, his political activity in a book. Mr. Meta will be the Count of Monte Cristo of Albanian politics," the lawyer added.

Ilir Meta has been under arrest since October 21, 2024.

SPAK closed the investigations into the 'Meta' file on July 28, while it went to trial at the end of August, which included three investigations in one; the CEZ-DIA affair, the LSI lobbying in the US, and the property investigation.

Meta and Kryemadhi are accused of passive corruption, money laundering and failure to declare assets.

Pirro Xhixho is accused of passive corruption of high-ranking officials committed in collaboration.

While Fatime Kryemadhi is accused of money laundering, along with Ema Çoku .
