Lawyer Marash Logu has not spared criticism for the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, held yesterday, after he failed to win for the National Council.

In a reaction on social networks, Logu says that the same tactics are used in both groups, Basha's and Berisha's.

He says that a year ago he was fired from Sali Berisha's group as a supporter of Basha. While yesterday he was fired as a supporter of Berisha.

Letter from us, the permanently dismissed

On July 17, 2021, after Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha hugged each other with a smile, the National Assembly of the DP elected, on the proposal of the party chairman, the new National Council with a 4-year mandate (2021/2025). I was also one of the elected members of this Council.

The results were not made public, but the members of the only three commissions I was able to contact confirmed that my number of votes was over 600 delegates of the National Assembly. Mainly democrats from Shkodra, Kamza and Paskuqani, to whom I am deeply grateful for their trust.

9 months later, on April 30, 2022, the group led by Sali Berisha decided to dismiss the National Council and elect a new Council. Although Sali Berisha dismissed us considering us supporters of Lulzim Basha, 16 months later, the group led by the latter dismissed us again.

I don't know if this time we were dismissed as supporters of Sali Berisha. I only know that we are where we were on July 17, 2021 – members of the Democratic Party, contributing as much as we know and can to our political family. At that time, both Basha and Berisha knew us and appreciated our contributions. Then?!

The fate of the decisions of the Berisha group was sealed on March 3, 2023 by the Tirana Court of Appeal. The profession forces me to foresee the same fate for yesterday's decisions, for which there is already a request under consideration in the Court of Tirana.

However, beyond membership in a particular party forum, one cannot help but be impressed by how two groups that claim to be diametrically opposed use the same tactics to dismiss and exclude contributing Democrats who they label as "opponents" of theirs.

In fact, neither I nor my colleagues, I believe, knew that our modest mandate in the National Council was a solution to the deep crisis of the Democratic Party these 2 years. Because if we had known, just like that Berat socialist in 2003, that all pathos gave up water, lights and bread, if only Comrade Fatos and Comrade Ilir had not split, with the same spirit of sacrifice we too would have handed over the mandates, if only not "comrades" of our party were divided.
