Prime Minister Edi Rama has again gone to Tirana Municipality to meet with the deputy mayors.

This is the third time that the head of government has gone to the local institution after the arrest of Mayor Erion Veliaj on February 10 in his office by order of SPAK.

After the arrest, Mayor Veliaj passed the signature to Deputy Mayor Anuela Ristani.

Meanwhile, the head of government has declared that he will not dismiss Erion Veliaj from office.

"Not only will the mayor of Tirana not be dismissed from office, but his suspension has given rise to a duty for us to continue to be steadfast guarantors of justice, promoting as much transparency as possible to uncover the truth ," Rama told BIRN.

Meanwhile, yesterday, in a marathon session, the GJKKO decided to extend the measure of "prison arrest" for Erion Veliaj, who was sent this morning to the Durrës detention center.
