The General Secretary and deputy of the PD, Enkelejd Alibeaj, presented today the PD amendment for criminal amnesty. According to Alibeaj, in this amendment it is intended to protect our protesters, from Astir, Bregu t Lumi, Shkoza, Teatr, students and the murder of Klodian Rashe.

AMENDMENT FOR SOME ADDITIONS AND CHANGES IN THE DRAFT LAW "GRANTING AMNESTY"

In support of Article 71, point 1, of the Regulations of the Assembly of Albania, with the proposal of the deputy Enkelejd Alibeaj, in the draft law "On granting amnesty", the following additions and changes are made:

Article 1

In Article 3, point 1, the letter ë) is added with the following content:

"e) persons convicted of criminal offenses provided for by articles 150, 151, 235, 236, 237 and 282 of the Criminal Code, committed during political and civic gatherings or protests organized in the period 01.10.2018 - 31.12.2020".

Article 2

In Article 4, point 1, letter k), the number "237" is removed.

Article 3

After Article 6, Article 6/1 is added with the following content:

"Article 6/1

Granting amnesty from prosecution to protesters

Excluded from criminal prosecution and dismissed are all criminal cases under investigation, cases not examined or in the process of examination by the courts, as well as for the reports that are in these bodies, regardless of the date of their registration, for criminal offenses committed during gatherings or political and civic protests organized in the period 01.10.2018 - 31.12.2020, provided by articles 150, 151, 235, 236, 237 and 282, of the Criminal Code".
