The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Enkelejd Alibeaj, today held a meeting with the British ambassador Alastair King-Smith.

The news was announced by Alibeaj himself through a post on social networks, where he reveals the details of the conversation saying that they talked about the political developments in the country and the Democratic Party.

Alibeaj says that he has asked for support and technical assistance for the Territorial reform. It also shows that they talked about fiscal amnesty, "golden passports" and the emigration of Albanians to Britain.

"Today I held a friendly and fruitful meeting with the British ambassador in Tirana, Alaister King-Smith. During the conversation, we discussed important topics such as political developments in the country, including those in the Democratic Party. Regarding the Administrative-Territorial reform, I asked the British Ambassador for support and technical assistance to offer Albanian citizens an accurate and useful territorial division for them.

I also shared with Ambassador Alaister King-Smith the concern of the British government about the issue of fiscal amnesty, "golden" passports, and of course we stopped at the problem of illegal immigration of Albanians to Britain.

I assured the interlocutor of the Democratic Party's full support for these issues, being seriously engaged in opposing these government initiatives with the limited institutional opportunities that the Albanian opposition has today," writes Alibeaj.
