Normative Act/ SP MPs clash with each other. Braçe: How do I vote for
Erion Braçe/ Taulant Balla

In today's parliamentary session during the discussion of the budget normative act, Socialist MP Erion Braçe said that his proposals for transferring a portion of unspent money to farmers were rejected a few weeks ago in the Assembly and have now come as a proposal through the normative act.

He ironically asked the leader of the SP group, Taulant Balla, whether he should vote for or against this time, since his identical proposal had been rejected by the SP group previously.

The debate

Braçe:  The money that goes to pensioners is very good and it would be good if it went there. The government says 15 billion, while I think that the unrealized deficit is 30 billion. I ask the chairman of my parliamentary group, how should I vote today, because this is my proposal that was voted against a few days ago. There is other money here to pay off farmers' debts.

Balla:  I agree with the concerns that are raised about being close to residents and farmers affected by natural phenomena such as floods and frost. I have been informed that the central and local governments are assessing the damages. Regarding the normative act that we are considering, everyone knows that the normative act cannot be changed today. We cannot make amendments to the act. I greatly appreciate the concern raised by the member of my parliamentary group, Brace.

Braçe:  I did not request a change to the act. I said that the amendment that was rejected by vote 4-5 weeks ago was brought by act today. I asked how I should vote. Then I voted for it, today I have to vote against it. Of the 30 billion that is the unrealized deficit, 15 billion will go to pensions, another 15 billion will go to repay farmers. That's what I told you.
