The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has revealed some behind-the-scenes information regarding MP Agron Shehaj, who left the DP and founded his own party.

Berisha Agron Shehaj was asked to be part of the coalition under the leadership of the DP and he refused.

Berisha revealed that Shehaj was offered to run for the Tirana municipality and take over the political leadership of Tirana during the campaign, which he did not accept, making his choice.

"Agron Shehaj inexplicably broke away, but I believe that the right to choose is a fundamental human right. Shehaj thought he would have a better future in politics outside the DP, it is his right."

He was offered a coalition with the sole purpose of ensuring that the DP does not miss a single vote from our electorate in the battle with Rama. He refused. He agrees, in a way he contributes to this evil, he gets votes to damage the opposition front.
