Was Rama's invitation to participate in the Munich Conference canceled?

"There is a popular expression, kiss Milo, but today it is, kiss Dashin." Edi Rama was supposed to be present at the Security Forum held in Munich this Friday, but the prime minister appeared alongside Dashnor Sula, with the official presentation as chief inspector.

This appearance by the head of government alongside the former Democratic MP, according to Sali Berisha, came after Rama's invitation was canceled by the organizers of the Munich Conference.

Instead of Rama, Taulan Balla appeared in Munich.

"Edi Rama, who had booked hotels, palaces and was preparing prefabricated communiqués to send us from the most important annual security conference in the world, which is the Munich Conference, was unable to go. He and his team were unable to leave for Munich, they canceled it," Berisha said.

According to the democratic leader, Rama's invitation was canceled due to his stances in defense of Balluk, considering it a diplomatic failure for the head of the Albanian government. Berisha added that the opposition protests also played an important role in the cancellation of this invitation.

"It is an extremely positive development for the Albanian opposition's efforts to restore constitutional order, the rule of law, free elections, and the fight against crime and corruption."

"To those who attack Sali Berisha for, according to them, tarnishing Albania, I say kiss Dash Sula, because Sali Berisha is protecting the interests of every honest Albanian, every patriot who loves Albania, and every citizen who sees his future in his country," said Berisha.

Rama himself has not made any comment about his absence in Munich.
