TIRANA - The rapid approach of the exchange ratio of the euro to the Albanian lek to 1.100 has forced the peripheral governor of the central bank, Bejko Sejko, to offer a detailed explanation to economic journalists and the entire public, after many hesitations.

Presenting the Bank's latest report to the media, Governor Mejko stated:

"After carefully analyzing all the indicators, we came to the conclusion that the weakening of the European currency has nothing to do with the investment of drug money in the Albanian economy, mainly in construction and tourism."

Governor Tejko admitted that there have been many debates, as the members of the supervisory board discussed other theses, such as the possibility that remittances, tourists, scandalous informality or theft on a scale of 1 to 1 of tenders have no influence on the fall of the euro. public.

But according to Dejko, these factors have had their oscillations throughout the years, while only one economic-financial phenomenon has been permanent: the inexhaustible drug money in the economy.

"Therefore, we say with conviction, after reaching a mature scientific conclusion, that Albania's euro has nothing to do with the European and Latin American euro that comes from cocaine transformed into palaces, hotels and tourist complexes," stated Vejko.

To further elaborate his thesis, Governor Jacko explained that cocaine is by nature a substance unsuitable for construction.

"You probably have in mind the cocaine caught by the police, where you can see several hard packages in the form of bricks, and you can rightly think that they are the right material for construction," Lejko smiled at the media's frivolity, "but no. Just so you know, cocaine itself is like a powder and doesn't even make a good mortar. On the contrary, it breaks down. So forget that the construction and investment boom comes from cocaine. It is physically impossible."

Meanwhile, the reporters, with their provocative nature, asked the peripheral governor to know if the Central Bank has found the reason for the fall of the Euro. But they got this answer:

"You're surprising me, because you have a university degree. How do you find what causes something? It is found by first eliminating the factors that do not cause it. And by now we know that the fall of the Euro - but also of the Dollar along with the Euro - does not come from cocaine injections into the economy. If our economy took cocaine, we would have understood. She would act euphoric, as if exhilarated, filled with unbridled enthusiasm, everything would seem like a field of flowers. Where do you notice something like that? Our economy barely drags its feet..."
