Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç , also known for his role in the series "Ezel", has been found dead in his apartment in the Nurtepe neighborhood of Kağıthane, Istanbul.

According to Turkish media, the actor was found on September 5, while details of his partner's testimony have shed more light on the last hours of his life.

Kılıç's girlfriend, Özlem Esmergül, with whom he had been in a relationship for about eight years, said that she found the actor sitting on an armchair in the living room of the apartment.

At first she thought he was sleeping, but when she touched him and found that his body was cold and unresponsive, she immediately called for help.

According to her testimony, a few days before her death, Kılıç had not gone to the filming site, as she was suffering from severe neck pain, related to a cervical hernia.

His partner said that the actor had called her in a tearful voice and told her that he had left the set because he was very upset and did not want to meet anyone. After this call, he did not answer her messages and calls anymore.

Esmergül also stated that Kılıç had health problems, including high blood pressure, gastritis and a hernia in the neck, for which he used medication.

She said that, to her knowledge, the actor had no problems with alcohol or narcotics.

Meanwhile, the exact cause of death has not yet been announced. The actor's body has been sent for forensic examination and an autopsy is expected to determine the circumstances of death.

Security cameras also recorded Kılıç's final moments before entering the apartment. In the footage, he is seen waiting for the elevator, but when it did not arrive, he headed for the stairs.
