A serious incident has shocked the world of entertainment and beauty pageants, after Miss Venezuela 2025, Andrea del Val, released a dramatic video from a hotel in Cannes, where she claims to have been brutally raped by renowned designer Giovanni Laguna.

The footage has made the rounds on social media and has caused numerous reactions in international public opinion.

In the video released by the 29-year-old model herself, Andrea del Val appears with her face covered in blood as she films the hotel room environment with her phone, where furniture and objects appear to be overturned and scattered on the floor. The atmosphere in the room is chaotic, while the model appears shocked and emotionally burdened.

In the same video, Venezuelan designer Giovanni Laguna is also seen sitting in a part of the room, while Andrea is heard saying: "Look what Giovanni Laguna did to me. Congratulations Giovanni, this is what I wanted, for you to show who you really are."

According to international media reports, the incident occurred at a luxury hotel in Cannes, where the two were staying during activities related to fashion events and the Film Festival. Hotel guests immediately notified the police after hearing screams, blows and loud noises coming from the room where the couple was staying.

A few minutes later, French police forces arrived at the scene. In videos that subsequently circulated on social media, Giovanni Laguna is seen being escorted by officers outside the hotel, while Andrea del Val is receiving medical attention for his injuries.

According to media sources, the model was immediately treated by doctors and is out of danger, however, exact details about the nature of her injuries have not been made public.

So far, French authorities have not officially confirmed whether criminal charges have been filed against Giovanni Laguna, while the case remains under investigation. Investigators are analyzing video footage, testimonies from people present at the hotel, and materials published on social media to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Giovanni Laguna is considered a well-known name in the fashion and beauty pageant industry in Latin America. He has collaborated with famous models and beauty queens for years, and since 2023 he has held the position of creative director of Miss Universe Colombia.

Meanwhile, social media has been abuzz with reactions following the release of Andrea del Val's video. Many users have demanded justice for the Venezuelan model and called for a full investigation into the incident, while others have expressed shock at the harrowing footage released from inside a hotel room in Cannes.
