How to view Instagram Story anonymously?

You've probably wanted to take a look at someone's Instagram story, but you didn't want that person to know you did it. There is a solution for this too.

There are many reasons why someone would want to view someone's Instagram Story post anonymously, and if you're one of them, we're here to help you do it safely and without the fear of something going wrong, by reveal your identity in the process.

As you know, Instagram always notifies its users who have seen their story published, but there is always a way to avoid something and currently there are some tricks available for this activity as well.

We won't be concerned here with installing apps that claim to provide that functionality. While they may actually help you in your cause, there is often a hidden price to pay, and that price is usually a violation of your privacy and, quite often, the sale of your data. Instead, we will provide you with proven ways to make it completely safe.

The most reliable way – Infract

According to many, the safest way to view Instagram Story posts anonymously is to use the Infract service. There are many sites that claim to offer this capability, but Inflatt has proven to be the fastest and most reliable solution in testing.

After visiting the site, you need to go to Tools > Profiles > Stories Viewer and then enter the exact name of the profile in the search field, with the prefix @ (for example: @kajgana.com). After that, Infract will show you the requested Story post (or multiple posts) and you will remain anonymous. You will even be offered to download the image to your device.

No need to log in, it just works. You can also view someone's profile if you select Viewer for Instagram instead of Stories Viewer.

Note that you still can't see Story posts as well as profile posts if the person in question has locked their profile.

Controlled but dangerous – disconnection of the Internet

Because Instagram automatically uploads a certain number of posts to Stories without you opening them, to view someone's Story anonymously, you must turn off your internet connection while in the Instagram app by swiping down from the top of your phone and activating "Airplane Mode".

This trick has been proven to work, but since the app still remembers that you've seen someone's story — which you'll notice if you force close the app, turn on the internet, and restart it — we're not convinced that at some point Instagram won't introduce changes that then inform the person that you were among those who saw the story, so we think this way is very dangerous
