Do the tensions level off? King Charles officially invites Prince Harry and

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received an invitation from King Charles to attend his coronation on Saturday, May 6.

Initially, there was speculation whether the monarch would extend the invitation to his son and daughter-in-law following their ongoing strained relationship.

Prince Harry addressed the issue in his ITV interview with Tom Bradby. According to The Sunday Times royal editor, King Charles has now invited the couple.

A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: "I can confirm that the Duke has recently received email correspondence from Her Majesty's office regarding the coronation."

It should be noted that it has not yet been announced whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend.

In addition to members of the royal family, those who may be on the guest list include the Prime Minister, heads of state and other royals from around the world.
