Rihanna

Astounding income, 11 global stars top the list as the richest artists in the world. She will always remain a diva but not only in music but also as the highest paid artist.

Rihanna is now the richest musician with a fortune of $1.7 billion and has continued to top the list for the past two years. A large portion of her nearly $1.4 billion fortune comes from her business ventures.

The fat income comes mainly from her cosmetics line "Fenty Beauty" together with the French luxury group LVMH, the underwear company called "Savage x Fenty" but also from social media mainly Instagram where she promotes her brands. Music has been on the back burner since her first hit in 2005 and remains one of the most listened to artists despite not having released an album in years.

Jay-Z ranks second. His fortune of nearly 1.5 billion dollars has come mainly from the sale of albums, the company he owns Rocaëar and the record studio Roc-A-Fella Records. After marrying Beyonce, their total wealth reaches over 1 billion.

Paul McCartney also joins the list as the richest man, but this is not so much of a surprise as he topped the list last year as well. The songwriter and singer has written 32 songs to reach number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is not a little known.
