Buckingham Palace reacts after Prince Harry's "bombshell"

Hours after Prince Harry's BBC interview, Buckingham Palace released a statement responding to the Duke of Sussex's legal defeat over his security in the United Kingdom.

A Palace spokesman said: “All of these issues have been repeatedly and carefully considered by the courts, with the same conclusion reached in each case.”

The palace's response comes after Harry extended a "hand of friendship" in hopes of reconciliation between him and the royal family.

Prince Harry told the BBC today he was “devastated” to have lost a legal challenge over his security in the UK, admitting his father, King Charles, is not speaking to him about the issue. But he said he did not want to fight any longer and “didn’t know how much time my father had left” in a statement that caused a sensation in Britain.
