The world-famous Albanian singer, Dua Lipa, appeared at a conference for journalists, before the concert that will be held tonight in "Skënderbej" square on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Independence.
She expressed her happiness to end the tour in Tirana and also commented on her absence in "Sunny Hill" during the summer.
“I haven't performed at every Sunny Hill Festival. This was the day I wanted to perform in Tirana", Dua emphasized.
Regarding the "indigenous" flag she posted on Instagram and received a lot of criticism, Dua said her intention was not to offend.
"The post was not made for any nationalism, it was simply important that we as Albanians have the right to be proud of being Albanians. There are many people who want to make us feel like someone we are not. I had no intention to insult anyone, to have a debate because it was not a very good reaction to me, but I decided to stay with the opinion I had", said Lipa during the conference held in Tirana.
Regarding the British government's criticism of Albanian immigrants, the singer said that Albanians will have to fight hard to remove this stigma, stressing that everyone should have the right to feel resident in any country where they live.
"A great disaster as we are seen in the eyes of other politicians, these are unsingable words, I think we need to fight xenophobia in the world, it is necessary, we must change the stigma that people have towards Albanians, this is what can to do. We need to be accepted as residents of every country where we live", said Dua.
After receiving the Albanian passport, the singer Dua Lipa was asked if she will now also get an Albanian boyfriend. She answered this question with a big smile saying "I don't know".
"Oh sister, I know that," said Dua.
