For the first time, a tourist trip into space has been carried out by a private company, that of billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX.
The travelers were a billionaire and an engineer who were part of a spacewalk.
Jared Isaacman and Sarah Gillis stepped out of the SpaceX spacecraft standing in space to view planet Earth. They exited the spacecraft separately with a time difference of 15 minutes from each other, of course wearing specially designed astronaut suits.
"In our homes we each have a lot of work to do, but from here Earth looks like a perfect world," said Jared Isaacman after exiting the spacecraft and standing in space.
Images were broadcast live showing the two travelers who had paid for this adventure, going into space.
"It's really exciting and I think it shows that SpaceX is not afraid to do things in a different way," Isaacman told the BBC.
This is the first tourist trip into space made by a private company.
