Michelle Pfeiffer's message about the death of Coolio: Because of your hit,

The untimely death of the American rapper Coolio has brought back to Michelle Pfeiffer the memories of the movie "Dangerous Mind", where the soundtrack was exactly his hit "Gangsta's Paradise".

Michelle even attributes all the film's success to this very song.

“Heartbroken to hear of the passing of the talented artist Coolio. A very short life. As some of you may know, I was lucky enough to work with him on 'Dangerous Minds' in 1995. He won a Grammy for his brilliant soundtrack song and I think it was that song that made our film it was so successful. I remember him being nothing but very kind. 30 years later, I still get goosebumps when I hear this song. Peace and love to his family. Rest in Power, Artist Leon Ivey Jr.,” Pfeiffer writes.

In "Dangerous Mind" Michelle played the role of a teacher who agrees to work in a school with African-American and Latino students.

She also participated in the clip of "Gangsta`s Paradise".
