"I thought I was going to die from this," Diddy's former assistant testifies that she was raped by him

A former assistant to Sean Diddy Combs testified in court that he sexually assaulted her during the 8-year period she worked for him.

The witness testified on condition of anonymity, using the pseudonym "Mia".

Through tears, she said she lived in fear of Combs' violent outbursts, the BBC reports.

The rapper was following her from his bank as she recounted what happened. “I couldn’t say no to a sandwich. I couldn’t say no to anything.”

Mia is the second witness in Diddy's trial to allege sexual abuse, after his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Mia said she started working as his personal assistant in 2009 when she was in her 20s and joined a "chaotic" and "toxic" work environment.

“The highs were really highs and the lows were really, really lows.” The position required her to be “always in front of Combs’ eyes,” and she “anticipated his needs, his fluctuations, his moods.”

She was often asked to stay in his homes, where she could not lock the door or leave without his permission. During the time she worked for him, the rapper was constantly violent towards her.

On one occasion, he threw a bowl of pasta at her, which flew right past her head. At another point, Combs threw his computer at Mia when she told him the internet connection was being repaired.

Violence against Cassie Ventura

She also testified about his violence against Cassie, with whom Mia had become friends and are still friends. While vacationing on a private island in the Caribbean, late one night, Cassie entered her room screaming that Combs was “going to kill her.” They ran away and hid on the beach. During that vacation, Ventura had also used a boat to escape from him, who was waiting for her walking on the beach. Before they knew it, the sky darkened, warning of a storm.

"I was trying to decide whether it was scarier to face Mother Nature or go back to Puff. We went back to Puff."

Mia said she was also present one night in 2013 when Combs nearly broke down Ventura's door. He attacked her, splitting her eyebrow after throwing her toward the head of the bed. Mia jumped on his back, but he slammed her into the wall. She recalled the words that came to mind: "He's really going to kill her."

Mia said that despite witnessing Combs' abuse of Cassie, she did not report him because she "believed Puff's authority overrode the police."

"A dark feeling"

She later testified to several instances of sexual assault, including waking up to him trying to rape her. The assaults began early in her career, one of them during Combs' 40th birthday party at the Plaza Hotel in New York.

He gave her two shots of vodka, kissed her, and put his hands up her dress. Between 2000 and 2010, while Mia was sleeping on a bunk bed in his house, she woke up after feeling Combs' weight on her body. She was unconscious, and Combs raped her.

“I just froze. It was so fast, but it felt like an eternity.” Mia stated that this happened “every now and then,” but she didn’t always remember the details, other than “a dark feeling in my stomach.”

Further, he admits to the fear and power of his control over her. He also knew of an assistant who was fired after reporting the rapper's violence against Cassie.

Diddy threatened Mia that he would tell Cassie about their sexual relationship. After these events, she said in court that she tried to pretend that the "most embarrassing thing" of her life had never happened.

“I thought I was going to die with this,” she said tearfully. “I didn’t want anyone to find out.”

Prosecutors asked her why she was telling this story, and she replied: “I had to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.”

Her testimony continues Friday and will be questioned by Combs' defense attorneys.
