A day ago, Alma Can's resignation from the position of director of the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center was made public.
After a 14-month period at the head of this institution, Cani decided to leave office.
In her place, Dr. Donjeta Bali, a well-known and respected professional with a long career in the service of citizens, has been appointed. Assoc. Prof. Donjeta Bali has been practicing as a pediatric oncohematologist for 23 years in the Pediatric Onco-Hematology Service at the QSUT.
In addition to her dedication in the hospital corridors, Dr. Bali is also known on social media, through the profile of her daughter, Keishli, one of the most followed influencers in Albania.
Keishli has often shared moments with her followers with her mother, showing that her two young daughters, Solen and Azura, are cared for by their own grandmother, Dr. Donjeta Bali.
She has even occasionally posted messages of gratitude from other mothers, who have appreciated Dr. Bali's professionalism and dedication to caring for children.
Earlier, former Minister Ogerta Manastirliu expressed her high regard for the new director of the QSUT.
"Whoever knows Dr. Donjeta, knows that her work, but also her love for children with serious blood diseases, is unsparing. Assoc. Prof. Donjeta Bali has been serving for 21 years as a Pediatric Oncohematologist in the delicate Pediatric Onco-Hematology service at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center in Tirana, where, together with the entire staff, she does her utmost to ensure that the service for these children is comprehensive, in the daily effort to save lives," said Manastirliu two years ago.
