Has everything been planned? The scenario behind Sweden's victory in

Eurovision fans have accused the festival of rigging the result to allow Sweden to win.

The organizers are said to have orchestrated Loreen's victory so that Sweden will host it next year, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of ABBA's victory.

Each of the 26 countries battled to claim the trophy, but it was Sweden who triumphed, with Loreen making history as the first woman to win the competition twice.

But not everyone agreed that Sweden deserved the top spot and speculated that the contest was rigged.

" I'm not saying it's rigged, but... Sweden won a year before the anniversary of ABBA's win ," one person wrote.

"There's no doubt they rigged this whole thing up so Sweden can host it on the 50th anniversary of ABBA's win ," added another.

"ABBA's anniversary and Sweden's victory seems strange to me," said another user of social networks.

Another comment was: "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this is rigged so that Sweden can host the fiftieth anniversary of ABBA's victory."

The Swedish group, ABBA, participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 with Waterloo and Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid, who were also declared winners.

2024 marks exactly 50 years since their win, with many expecting the band to perform at next year's competition.
