So-called influencers are ready to do all kinds of stunts in order to earn their five minutes of fame and make money with the help of social networks.

Various videos of dangerous car races have already landed a large number of people in jail, but the same could happen to this latest case for something completely different: a tasteless prank.

An influencer identified as Hamdan Al Rind, whose video was posted on Tik-Tok, was arrested by the police in the United Arab Emirates after putting on a real "show" at a luxury car showroom.

He entered the car showroom accompanied by two people carrying a suitcase with "money" and began to behave rudely towards the staff, as if they were his servants.

The police saw the video as a mockery of Emirati citizens.

A video posted on TikTok shows a man in local dress entering the salon where he meets a female employee and rudely demanding to see the salon manager. Then he asks the boss what is the most expensive car in the showroom and after being told that it is a Ferrari SF90 with a price of 2.2 million dirhams (about 550 thousand euros), he comments that it is very cheap!.

Next he wants to buy Audi R8, Ferrari SF90, Mercedes-AMG SUV, Rolls Royce...

Dubai-based influencer Hamdan Al Rind, known by social media commentators as "The Car Expert", is a TikToker with more than two million followers on TikTok and 1.4 million followers on Instagram.

He was accused of "misusing the Internet to publish propaganda that incites public opinion and harms the public interest", writes Arabian Business.

Authorities say the video does not comply with UAE media content standards, insults their society and shows a lack of appreciation for value for money.

Although it is quite clear from the video that it is a staged stunt aimed at mocking the culture of luxury cars in the Emirates, the police have taken everything seriously and do not want to give up.

Car dealership employees may also be in trouble if it turns out that they willingly participated in the recording of the edited video.
