Elvis Presley's daughter dies of a heart attack

Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of the late Elvis Presley, died Thursday hours after being hospitalized following a cardiac arrest. The sad news was confirmed by her mother, Priscilla Presley. She was 54 years old. Lisa Marie had been rushed to the hospital earlier in the day.

“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are deeply grateful for everyone's support, love and prayers and request privacy during this very difficult time," said Priscilla.

Lisa Marie Presley was last seen on Tuesday night at the Golden Globe Awards, where she attended with her mother to support Baz Luhrmann's film Elvis, about her late father. In 2020, she also lost her son Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide at the age of 27.

Lisa Marie Presley was previously married to Michael Lockwood, Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and Danny Keough. In addition to her late son, she has three other children, actress Riley Keough, Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood.

Born in 1968, Lisa Marie continued to follow in her father's footsteps and began a career in music. The star released three albums, with her 2003 debut studio album selling hundreds of thousands of copies and receiving generally positive reviews.
