The world-famous Albanian soprano, Ermonela Jaho, has given bad news to all her followers.

Through a post on social media, she informed her followers that she has withdrawn from ROH's production of Pagliacci after her health deteriorated. Although the desire of the soprano was great to perform, it was the doctors who stopped her.

Ermonela Jaho further adds that she hopes to recover quickly for her future engagements.

“Dear friends, I am very sorry to tell you that I have to step down from ROH's production of Pagliacci. I had been rehearsing for days while struggling with some health challenges but unfortunately the situation worsened and why I wanted to continue the doctors advised me against it.

I hope to recover soon for my future engagements. I am so sorry for the disappointment…. I am very grateful to ROH and my wonderful friends for their support during this time and I look forward to returning to London in the future…. much love Ermonela", writes Jaho.
