Fans have seen Ben Affleck laugh, cry and everything in between, but they had absolutely no idea that he knew Spanish and most of all, spoke it so fluently.
Recently, the actor took on the role of entrepreneur Philip Knight - co-founder of Nike - in the film "Air". As part of the film's promotional campaign, Affleck spoke to Spanish radio station Cadena SER to chat about all things Nike.
Taking fans completely by surprise, the actor said – in Spanish: “What's important to understand is that the film is not about the story of Michael Jordan; he doesn't even appear in the movie.”
He went on to explain that Jordan is "so big, so important, so magnificent that there is not an actor in the world who can play his role."
Even fans who can speak Spanish were surprised by the interview, which has gone viral. "He speaks Spanish better than me and Spanish is my native language," one viewer commented.
