My name is Bond, James Bond.

For 60 years, the typical presentation of the character has been echoing in the films of one of the longest-lived and most famous franchises in the history of cinema, the "James Bond" series, which never gets tired and always excites in the same way.

It was October 5, 1962 when "Dr No" (Agent 007 - License to kill) was published in BM.

The first chapter of the series dedicated to the British secret agent and inspired by the novel "License to Kill" by Ian Fleming (1958).

No one would have imagined that a low-budget film would become a huge commercial success and a true brand that has captivated all kinds of viewers for 60 years.

The film, directed by Terence Young and produced by Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli (EON Productions), brought to the screen a young Scottish actor at the time practically unknown, Sean Connery, while the role of the girl was given to Ursula Andress, bikini whose white made her legendary.

Connery starred in a total of seven James Bonds, the most recent in 1983's Never Say Never.

Over six decades and 25 films, George Lazenby, Roger Moore (with actor Connery playing the role several times), Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have taken on the role of the glamorous 007.

After the last chapter of the franchise "No Time to Die" (2021) and Craig's farewell to the role, the dilemma of who will be able to play such a charismatic and emblematic character remains.

A real headache for producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, whose answer to the persistent question of the name of a candidate for what is considered the most coveted role in British cinema, remains "no" for now.

There were also rumors of a woman, but Broccoli clarified that it will be a man and of any skin color.

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are also busy celebrating the franchise's 60th anniversary.

In New York, an auction at Christie's has just ended, "Sixty years of James Bond", with about 60 iconic objects from 25 films.

Among them is a silver "Aston Martin DB5", which was sold for over three million dollars.

The singer Shirley Bassey, whose powerful voice made some of the soundtracks of the series unforgettable, will be among the protagonists of the retrospective "The Sound Of 007 In Concert" at the "Royal Albert Hall" in London.

A few days ago a vinyl version was released with all the titles of the 25 films performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
