Renowned journalist Mira Kazhani has shared sad news with her followers: her father, Petrit Kazhani, has passed away.

Mira herself announced the news through a touching post on Instagram, where she published a photo of him accompanied by the words: "Today a part of my soul closed its eyes forever. My dad."

In addition to the post, the journalist also shared details of the funeral ceremony through Instagram stories, informing friends and relatives to bid her beloved a final farewell.

Petrit Kazhani had been suffering from dementia for years, a condition that Mira had previously described in her autobiographical book "Another Day".

In her book, she speaks openly about her personal battle with breast cancer, as well as the family challenges that have accompanied her over the years.
