Celine Dion saddens fans, reveals that she suffers from a rare incurable disease

The famous singer Celine Dion has been diagnosed with an incurable disease.

The news was announced by the actress herself through a post on social networks, where she said with a video message that she suffers from stiff person syndrome (SPS), which causes the muscles to tense up uncontrollably.

The disease initially hardens you and leaves you like a "statue", while over time it leaves you unable to walk or move.

The singer has stated that there is no cure for this disease, but that there are treatments that slow down the progression of the disease. Celine revealed that she is doing everything she can to minimize the symptoms.

With tears in her eyes, the singer announced to her fans that due to illness she is forced to cancel her European tour.

" I was recently diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects 1 in a million people. While we are still learning about this rare condition, we now know that it is what has been causing all the spasms I have been having.

Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life sometimes causing difficulty when walking and preventing me from using my vocal cords to sing the way I'm used to.

It pains me to tell you that this means I won't be ready to resume my European tour in February. I have a great team of doctors working alongside me to help me get better and my precious children who support me and help me ", the singer can be heard saying.
