Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate will get back his luxury cars, real estate and expensive watches after a court appealed the asset forfeiture order.

Andrew and his brother Tristan are facing rape and human trafficking charges in Romania where they live and have been in prison and then under house arrest since their arrest in December 2022.

By January 2023, prosecutors had seized more than 15 luxury vehicles and 10 properties belonging to the suspects. Among the assets were 14 expensive watches, two ingots of precious metal and money, and according to the authorities, this amounted to a value of 3.6 million euros.

It was reported at the time that the money could be used to compensate his victims and pay for an investigation if the allegations against him are found to be true.

The Court of Appeal in Bucharest appealed the decision allowing the confiscation of assets which were returned to Tate. In August 2023, the influencer also won an appeal against a decision to no longer remain under house arrest until a trial date is set.

He and his brother can now travel around Romania, but not move outside its borders.
