Serbian Security and Intelligence Agency (BIA) Director Aleksandar Vulin says the European Union has imposed sanctions on him, banning him from entering EU countries.
"There was no controversy over the truth I told. They simply made some comments about me personally, held a meeting at the highest level of their countries' foreign ministries and decided to ban me from entering EU countries," Vulin said.
At a meeting of the EU Council's working group on the Eastern Partnership, the European Commission's Commissioner for Foreign Affairs proposed imposing sanctions due to "Russian destabilizing actions," he added.
Vulin also stated that he "didn't know what the outcome of all this was, that he hadn't been informed, but that he knew what was proposed."
We recall that Vulin is also under sanctions from the United States, more specifically from the US Treasury Department, which has stated that Vulin used his public positions to support Russia.
