Vučić "scared" by the Albania-Kosovo-Croatia alliance: War is

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has hardened his tone towards defense cooperation between Albania, Croatia and Kosovo, stating that this initiative is not symbolic, but has concrete strategic objectives, even, according to him, the invasion of Serbia.

During his speech at the Statehood Day ceremony, Vučić said that Serbia has suffered a lot, and is now facing new pressures and alliances that, according to him, have been created to act against Belgrade.

"We are one of the peoples that have suffered the most and we must maintain our demographic capacity. We will face greater pressures than ever before. The alliances that are being created against us are not made to be the second or fifth news in the news editions, but to actively act against us and to create a unified field of action without 'pebbles in the shoe', and Serbia is that pebble in the shoe.

"That's why we have to protect Serbia, because alliances are being created to attack it from different directions. I'm saying what I know, and when an even bigger war breaks out, the goal is to have forces capable of occupying our country," Vučić declared.

He went further, adding that in the event of an escalation of global conflicts, "the goal is to have forces capable of invading our country."

On March 18, 2025, in Tirana, an agreement was signed to enhance cooperation in the field of defense between Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia. According to official statements from the three countries, the initiative aims to increase strategic cooperation in security and defense, strengthen military interoperability through education and training, and conduct joint exercises.

Authorities in Tirana, Pristina, and Zagreb have emphasized that this is not a classic military pact, but a cooperation platform for strengthening defense capacities and regional coordination.

However, these clarifications seem not to have convinced the Serbian president, who sees this development as part of a strategic encirclement of Serbia.

Concluding his speech, Vučić articulated three priorities for Serbia in the coming period: preserving peace, preparing for external pressures, and strengthening internal unity.
