The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stated that there was no agreement in Brussels, but an agreement on license plates.
Kurti made the statement this Thursday while delivering his speech in the Assembly of Kosovo, during the plenary session.
"Last night's agreement is not an agreement about license plates. We agreed to stop mutual actions, so we will not issue fines for KM license plates, and we will give space to the negotiation of the European proposal, which was earlier called Franco-German", he emphasized.
While the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has said that the agreement reached in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia on license plates is a small tactical victory "that will lead us to even greater pressure".
The European chief diplomat, Josep Borell, said that on November 23, Kosovo and Serbia have reached an agreement in Brussels on license plates.
According to the EU, Kosovo will end further actions related to the re-registration of cars, until Serbia will no longer issue license plates with the names of Kosovo cities.
After reaching the agreement on license plates, Borell warned that in the following days he will invite the leaders of both countries to Brussels to discuss the "Brussels Proposal", supported by France and Germany.
