Von der Leyen visits Kosovo on October 15
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit the Western Balkans from October 13 to 16, including a stop in Pristina on October 15.

She will meet with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.

The purpose of the visit is to reaffirm the European perspective for the region.

Unofficial sources indicate that the European Commission's annual report on enlargement, usually published in October, has been postponed to November so as not to negatively impact Von der Leyen's visit.
