Meloni's ultimatum: Who is against NATO and the EU will remain outside the
Giorgia Meloni

A little more than 24 hours after Silvio Berlusconi's statements, the future Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reacts this evening.

With an official announcement after many hours of silence, she issues an ultimatum to the Cavalier; the new government will be Atlanticist and European!

Whoever is against will remain out of the government according to Giorgia Meloni.

After an afternoon full of controversy, Silvio Berlusconi also reacted and clarified his position, denying the audio-tap. He emphasized that no one can doubt that he is Atlanticist and pro-European.

Giorgia Meloni said:

"For one thing I have been and am and will always be clear. I intend to lead a government with a clear and unequivocal line of foreign policy. Italy is completely, and with its head held high, part of the Europe of the Atlantic Alliance Anyone who does not agree with this cornerstone will not be part of the government and at the cost of not forming a government.

Italy with us in government will never be the weak link of the West, the unreliable nation so dear to so many of our opponents.

Italy will revive its credibility and thus protect its interests. For this I will ask for clarity from all the ministers of a possible government.

The first rule of a political government that has a strong mandate from the Italians is to respect the program that the citizens voted for.

Tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. the official consultations of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella on the formation of the new government begin.

Giorgia Meloni can take office on Friday, October 21.
