Ukraine and Russia exchange prisoners of war

Ukraine and Russia exchanged 90 prisoners of war on Tuesday evening, in one of the biggest accords between the two sides in the past 5 months.

Moscow and Kiev have carried out more than 50 prisoner exchanges since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine more than two years ago, with the latter brokered by Saudi Arabia.

"Today, another 90 of our citizens have returned to their homes from Russian captivity. We do not forget all our people. We continue to work for the release of each of them", said President Zelensky, through a post on social networks.

In the latest exchange, which took place at the end of May, Moscow and Kiev released 75 prisoners.
