Police in Montenegro on September 11 discovered an underground tunnel connecting an apartment to a nearby court warehouse, which stored seized narcotics and other evidence of crimes.
Footage released by Montenegro's state television shows a large hole in the wall in the Court's warehouse where evidence from court proceedings was being kept.
According to the data of the state authorities, in the last three years, a total of about 9.5 tons of drugs of various types, of which about two tons of cocaine and about seven tons of marijuana, have been stored in the warehouse of the Supreme Court in Podgorica.
The tunnel entrance to the court building was found in a "well-hidden" location inside the warehouse, court president Boris Savic said, adding that "the perpetrators dug into the foundation of the building for months to get inside."
