As the counting of votes continues, 17 seats remain to be determined in this chamber, where the Democrats have secured 205 seats so far.

If they also secure the House, Republicans are expected to have extended power for at least the next two years to implement their agenda, based on Donald Trump's campaign promises, which focus on fighting illegal immigration and economic revitalization of the country. country.

Meanwhile, in a post on his social network Truth, Donald Trump rejected rumors about the inclusion of two figures from his first administration, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo or the former ambassador to the UN in the new cabinet.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is increasingly being talked about in the media for the post of Secretary of State, Richard Grenell for national security adviser and Michael Waltz for Secretary of Defense. However, in most cases the media predictions do not go with Donald Trump.
