A shocking video has gone viral, showing a baby in a diaper running through an intersection with heavy traffic in Arizona.

Everything was filmed by a car camera, which was driven by a woman, who burst into screams as a car avoided the child only at the last moment, while his mother then took him in her arms.

The woman, who had her young son in the back seat, was unable to get out of the car, but tried to use her lights and horn to signal the danger to other drivers.

The boy's father said that he was not at home when the incident happened, while his wife was suffering from postpartum depression and had forgotten the door of the house open.
