The balance deepens, the number of victims from the earthquake in Japan reaches

The balance of victims from the earthquake that hit Japan 5 days ago is deepening. According to local media, which cite sources close to the authorities, 110 people have lost their lives and at least 516 have been injured.

Emergency services are still looking for 222 people who are missing.

The worst damage was caused in Ishikawa Prefecture, where more than 250 houses were destroyed and fires destroyed about 300 other buildings.

The region continues to lack electricity, water and fuel.
