Syria recognizes the state of Kosovo

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has announced that Syria has recognized the state of Kosovo.

She said that the recognition agreement was reached with the support of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.

"With the support of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, today in Riyadh we reached the agreement through which the Syrian Arab Republic recognizes the Republic of Kosovo."

"I thank President Al Sharaa for the decision to recognize Kosovo and for his support for our people," said Osmani.

The President said that the people of Kosovo and Syria have suffered and sacrificed a lot to achieve freedom, "therefore, this mutual recognition today is not only of state sovereignty, but also recognition of the sacrifice of many generations to live freely."

She thanked the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia "for making this historic act between our two countries possible."

"Kosovo is now recognized by 120 countries. Our republic is moving forward and there is nothing that can stop it," emphasized President Vjosa Osmani.
