Shaip Kamberi has managed to secure the mandate of deputy in the Serbian parliament again, after the extraordinary elections that were held the day before. After this victory, in a post on Facebook, Kamberi chose to give a message with a quote from the boxer Muhammad Ali.

“Every time I entered the ring, at least half the audience was so excited to see me killed. They cheered, screamed and kicked for every punch an opponent hit me with. So much so that they became hysterical when I disappointed those dreams and hopes (Muhammed Ali)", writes Kamberi.

During the period from 2002 to 2006 and 2006-2008, Kamberi served as a member of the Municipality of Bujanovci and leader of the Party for Democratic Action. As a candidate of the Democratic Action Party in the local elections in 2008, he was elected Mayor of Bujanovac and held this position until 2012.

In the parliamentary elections in 2014, Shaip Kamberi was mandated to the national assembly, a position he held until 2016 when he was elected mayor of Bujanovci. In October 2018, Kamberi was elected president of the Party for Democratic Action. In the parliamentary elections of 2020, Kamberi was again mandated as a deputy in the Serbian parliament.
