Shocking details have emerged from the event that shocked public opinion a few days ago in Kosovo, where 5 people were arrested for the rape of an 11-year-old girl. Earlier, the Prosecutor's Office informed that the 11-year-old girl was reported missing by her family at the end of June.

Recently, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has announced that the first information shows that the 11-year-old girl has been raped for more than a year.

Sveçla said in the conference held on Monday that he asked the head of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo that all police officials involved in this case be called as witnesses to understand what happened.

He said that the responsible institutions have failed to protect the victim, while he expressed his conviction that all failures will be identified and those responsible will be penalized.

"The first indications or information are that this minor has been violated for more than a year. I made the request directly to the chief of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo so that everyone involved in this case can be called as a witness so that the institutions of Kosovo and the public are properly informed about what is happening, what institutions have undertaken and are undertaking and also as soon as possible to come out with the findings of this extremely serious case.

In this case, either the Prosecutor's Office, the centers for social work, the Police or the Kosovo Agency for Forensics are involved.
