Part of Torre dei Conti collapses in Rome, several injured (VIDEO)
ROMA

Part of the Torre dei Conti, currently under reconstruction, collapsed in the heart of Rome.

A part of the tower broke off from the roof and caused a large cloud of dust.

A 64-year-old worker was pulled alive from the rubble and taken to hospital in critical condition due to a head injury. One worker is still under the rubble, alive. 

A second collapse hit firefighters who were working to free the worker still trapped in the rubble. All firefighters are said to be unharmed.

Two other injured people, with minor injuries, refused transport to the hospital.
