US drops 38,000 rations of food into Gaza
Aid in Gaza

The United States has delivered humanitarian aid to Gaza for the first time.

Three US C-130 aircraft dropped 66 packages on gaza's civilian population, 22 of each aircraft with a total of about 38,000 food rations.

These aids did not include water or medicine.

U.S. President Joe Biden said the situation in Gaza's civilian population was tragic, insisting he would ask Israel to allow more truckloads of aid.

The International Rescue Committee said food aid was not a solution for Gaza, as diplomatic routes must be found immediately to end the Israeli attack.
