Russia has again rebuked Belgrade over reports that weapons and ammunition manufactured in Serbia have ended up in the hands of the Ukrainian military.

"We are convinced that Serbia will take effective measures, which will enable the identification and termination of suspicious foreign export contracts - and to prevent the delivery of sensitive goods for military purposes to inappropriate addresses," said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova stated that the Kremlin is aware of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić's statement that he will initiate a review of military-technical cooperation with foreign partners in connection with manipulations with Serbian weapons end-users.

"We are confident that effective measures will be taken, which will make it possible to identify and terminate suspicious foreign export contracts - and to prevent the delivery of sensitive military goods to inappropriate addresses," Zakharova said, RTS reports.

In Moscow, they believe, as she emphasized, that Serbia is aware of the risk of such shipments falling into the hands of the Kiev regime.

"We hope that effective measures will be taken so that this does not cast a shadow over the good relations between Russia and Serbia. And I would add – also the sincere feelings of the Serbian people, who understand everything very well," Zakharova said.
