The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Djuric, where they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as developments in the Western Balkans.

According to the communiqué issued by the State Department, Rubio emphasized the need to calm the situation and maintain stability in the region, highlighting two tense points: Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"It is important that there is an escalation of tensions with Kosovo and BiH," Rubio was quoted as saying during the meeting, while underlining that the US remains committed to stability and peace in the region.

The meeting between the two officials was held in the framework of the strategic dialogue between the United States and Serbia, while the emphasis was also placed on the importance of democratic reforms and economic cooperation.
