Elon Musk's rocket makes the historic landing on Earth

SpaceX, Elon Musk's space adventure company, made history on Sunday after its rocket, Starship, managed to land successfully by hooking onto the launch pad.

This was the fifth and most successful test of Starship, the most powerful rocket ever built by man.

After reaching an altitude of about 70 kilometers, a part of the rocket, called the booster, broke off and began its descent to Earth. Just before descent, 3 of the 33 thruster engines were restarted and brought the vehicle vertical before the platform hooks caught it in mid-air.

This method of capturing multipurpose rockets is the latest achievement of SpaceX, which aims to send manned spacecraft to the Moon and realize Elon Musk's dream of reaching Mars.

The Starship, first introduced by Musk in 2017, has exploded several times during previous tests, but in June this year it managed to land successfully on the ground for the first time. This time, from the Texas platform, the rocket made a spectacular landing, never seen before in the space vehicle industry.
