A 41-year-old Albanian who had entered Italy illegally was arrested yesterday (October 13) by the Benevento police, as he is accused not only of resisting the officers in action, but also as a suspect for residential theft, as equipment and keys were found on him for opening locks.

At around 20:00, the patrols located 2 suspicious persons, wearing a hood on their heads, who were secretly wandering between the houses of a residential complex, located in the lower part of the city, not far from the "Vigorito" stadium.

As they were going to a car, where the third person was waiting for them, the young people spotted the approach of the policemen and ran away through the alleys, while the driver fled at a hellish speed, endangering the forces in action.

After the chase with other patrols, the vehicle was blocked towards "Telese Terme", in the municipality of Ponte.

The driver of the car was precisely the 41-year-old arrested, while the equipment was also found on board, among them goods that are suspected of being stolen from apartments, along with some gold jewelry, it is stated in the notice of the Cuestura.

The suspect was taken into custody, while his two hooded accomplices are also being sought.
